Buck wasn't one to say "I told you so" but...he told you so, Eddie. Nobody was sleeping last night. But they had gotten through a good chunk of the Terminator series so was it time wasted? No. By now Buck was so sleep-deprived he had gone past tired and was "drunk guy on his second wind after throwing up in the bathroom".

"We should do the Aliens series next." This was like a sleepover! Only one of them was kind of delirious!

"You can do it to me when you wake up." Oh god, was this the two brain cells between them at work?

"Deal." Oh god was someone gonna have to call and old priest and a young priest when Buck was injected with a sedative and still didn't sleep?

Only if his head did a 360 and he was still fine.

Please don't do that to Eddie, though. Save it for Travis or Will or something.

Eddie laughed and gave Buck's shoulder a squeeze for that. "This better be over soon. You mentioned an ice cream place."

And he wasn't fireman carrying Buck there, okay?

"Oh yeah, it's awesome." It was like any other ice cream place in the country. "For such a tiny island there's a ton of food places. And two bars!"

Yeah, but ice cream.

"You are definitely punch drunk now," Eddie replied with a laugh at the two bars thing.

"Just a little," he admitted. "You'll get there soon too if you don't take a nap."

[justalittlerepressed]

"Really hope not," Eddie replied. "I'd really rather be able to get some sleep before I have to face my folks again."

"Oh yeah, you definitely do," Buck agreed. "I mean, your dad on a good day..."

Wasn't quite as bad as Buck's parents but still pretty bad.

"Christopher was happy to see them again at least." Eddie, less so.

"It's been awhile since they've seen him," Buck said. "You just need to get in and get out before a fight can start."

[justalittlerepressed]

"I can manage that." Oh. Oh, Eddie, babe. No, you couldn't.

"I believe in you," Buck said, giving Eddie's arm a pat and a silly grin.

He was so damn tired, you guys.

"How about you close your eyes for a little bit, okay?" Eddie said with another concerned look. "Just let them rest."

Oh, he was using his soothing paramedic voice.

Buck sighed. "If you insist. But you gotta do it too."

He saw those dark circles, Eddie!

"I'll close my eyes too," he promised. And he would.

After Buck did it first.

"Okay, good." Buck leaned back against the couch, crossing his arms over his chest. And closed his eyes.

Then opened one. "Well?"

"You didn't give me any time!" Eddie said, tossing his hands up in defeat as he leaned back as well. "This would be easier back at the station."

[firehousehimbo]

"Yeah I got my couch on sale. Regretting it now." Because it was not what one would call 'comfortable'. "You can always take my bed if you want."

[justalittlerepressed]

"Don't be ridiculous, this is your place," Eddie said, struggling to find a comfortable position. He fell asleep in Afghanistan, this shouldn't be a problem at all.

"Well I'm staying on the couch." But if you wanted them to both not-sleep on the couch by all means, Eddie.

"I'm staying on the couch too," Eddie said, just zoning out a little on the TV screen.

Then, "Yeah, you need a new couch. Is it getting it up those stairs? Is that the issue?"

"More that I'm kind of cheap." A couch was a couch to him! Until he had to sleep on it. Then he realized the difference.

[justalittlerepressed]

"Well, maybe you should get a new one if you want guests to come visit you." Like, you know, Eddie and his kid.

Talking about a couch was clearly the half asleep, but unable to get past that, conversation they needed.

"I offered you the bed." Like a good host!

[justalittlerepressed]

"It's your bed." He was being a good guest!
